I spent the last four days cooking. It’s not often I get to do that.
Starting Friday afternoon, I made black bean burgers on brioche buns, tacos al pastor with homemade tortillas and salsa verde, pressed tortas with grilled pineapple salsa on homemade pan and my first really good New York-style pizzas.
One reason for this splurge was my pledge to not eat any carbs I didn’t make myself from scratch. So far I’m down 13 lbs in 3 weeks, so that’s working out well. But it does mean I’m doing a lot more baking.
